Robert Kritzmire is an experienced family law attorney, having successfully represented countless clients in the greater Chicagoland area.

Having experienced divorce as both a child and as an adult, Robert offers his clients a unique perspective and an astute, individual strategy in resolving the complex financial matters and deeply personal and emotional issues that come into play in dissolution proceedings. Understanding these aspects of family law dealings first-hand make Robert highly engaged with and available to his clients.  Robert is a well recognized authority at handling child custody concerns, and has vast expertise in managing complex financial cases, and pre-marital, post nuptial and marital settlement agreements.

Prior to forming RJK Family Law in 2010, Robert was a partner in several of Chicago’s leading family law firms.  Robert earned his law degree from DePaul University in 1989 where he served as the Managing Editor of Notes and Comments for the DePaul Law Review and received the Zweig and AmJur Awards for Legal Writing. Additionally, he’s been published in prestigious law journals, including the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education (IICLE) on the topic of child custody.
